Had a fantastic flight! Everything went perfectly and Singapore airport was a dream. I took a foot massage and a walk round the butterfly garden. I managed the Australian customs in spite of declaring that I had been out in the woods during the past month and that I had herbs with me. K had managed, in his usual way, to delay his flight from Hong Kong so I had to wait for him but I bought a cup of tea and just relaxed. I' ve made it and time doesn't matter. Arrived outside YHA Perth at aabout 2.30 in the morning and dropped into bed at 3. Woke up about 10 wondering why people complained about the noise from the railway close by. We had an easy day. Sping has arrived and the temperature is about 20. We started with lunch, an enormous portion of lamb hotpot and mash. The owner, wondering if I didn't like his food because I left most of the mash, when he heard I was from Hartlepool, turned to K and asked" Do you know what they did in Hartlepool?" Swedish readers will have to google for the answer, it happened a few hundred years ago. He was from Sunderland and knew Middleton and Glenridding very well. It's a small world. Money's up, have to go.
